VSL Admissions Process
Thank you for your interest in VSL! We look forward to learning more about your family and sharing more about our village. If you have questions prior to initiating the admissions process, please contact the school at admissions@villageschooloflouisville.org. The following is an outline of our admissions process:
Attend an open house event if you can make it! Check our Events page and follow us on social media for upcoming dates. We’d love to show you what it’s like to be a part of our village.
Schedule a tour, using our Village School of Louisville Tour bookings page
Complete an Application for Admission and submit the non-refundable application fee*! When we receive the Application(s) and fee, VSL will contact you to schedule a shadow day.
Once the application materials and your tour are completed, prospective student(s) participate in a shadow day at VSL (half day for incoming Early Elementary- JK-1st grade; full day for all other grades). This provides your student(s) an an opportunity to get to know our community, experience a school day at VSL, and determine whether we are a good fit for your family.
*The application fee is $25 for returning families and $50 for new families regardless of how many students you are applying for. We will accept either a check mailed to the above address or online payments to our Zelle account: info@villageschooloflouisville.org
Admissions Timeline & Key Dates
VSL is still currently accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year on a rolling basis. Space is limited.
Enrollment Timeline for 2027-2028 :
September 3, 2026 - Applications for admissions open
December 1, 2026* - Enrollment acceptance begins for the 2027-28 school year.
