VSL Admissions Process
Thank you for your interest in VSL! We look forward to learning more about your family and sharing more about our village. If you have questions prior to initiating the admissions process, please contact the school at admissions@villageschooloflouisville.org. The following is an outline of our admissions process:
Attend an open house event if you can make it! Check our Events page and follow us on social media for upcoming dates. We’d love to show you what it’s like to be a part of our village.
To schedule a tour, please fill out an Application for Admission and submit the $25 non-refundable application fee*! When we receive the Application(s) and fee, VSL will contact you to schedule a tour.
Once the application materials and your tour are completed, prospective student(s) participate in a shadow day at VSL (half day for incoming kindergarteners; full day for all other grades). This provides your student(s) an an opportunity to get to know our community, experience a school day at VSL, and determine whether we are a good fit for your family.
*The application fee is $25 per family regardless of how many students you are applying for. We will accept either a check mailed to the above address or online payments to our Venmo account: @villageschooloflouisville
Admissions Timeline & Key Dates
VSL is still currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year on a rolling basis. Please contact admissions@villageschooloflouisville.org to apply for the 2024-2025 school year. Space is limited.
Enrollment Timeline for 2026-2027 :
October 27, 2025 - Applications for admissions open
December 1, 2025* - Reenrollment and sliding scale applications open
December 31, 2025 - Sliding scale applications for new families closes
January 17, 2026* - Enrollment determinations announced to families
February 14, 2026 - Contracts and deposits due for the 2026-27 school year.
